The Elysée Foundation is a private foundation. Created in 1988, it aims at building a collection of photographs which have been given to the Musée de l’Elysée. It also supports the Museum in its projects by seeking partnerships with public and private institutions, banks, businesses and sponsors.
The Foundation has been able to finance many purchases. It allows the museum to deliver ambitious projects of a national and international dimension and is involved in the necessary funding of historical research and publications
