The Musée de l’Elysée presents the first exhibition devoted to the history of the slide, from its inception in the second half of the 19th century to today. Whereas the history of photography was built around the photographic print, the photographic projection underwent a major development as of the last third of the 19th century, borrowing from the tradition of magic lantern shows.

The exhibition No Vertical Limit. Mountain Photography, the first of its kind, is inspired by the claim that photography invented the mountain landscape by revealing it to the eyes of the world.

The Polish graphic artist Wojciech Zamecznik was an influential figure in the post-war Polish art scene. Working between 1945 and 1967, he is famous for his posters, and his sphere of activity covered various fields: publishing, music, cinema and exhibitions.
