Tribute to Werner Bischof

Werner Bischof was born on April 26, 1916. To mark the centenary of his birth, the Musée de l’Elysée, in partnership with the Swiss Foundation for Photography and Magnum Photo, is hosting several events to celebrate this great photographer.

Tours of the exhibitions

An introduction to the exhibition in French with Werner Jeker, graphic designer and co-founder of the Ateliers du Nord, Lausanne. Among other things, he designed the book Backstory (Standpunkt in German), published to coincide with the centenary of Werner Bischof’s birth and the first monograph on Werner Bischof in 1990 – Werner Bischof 1916-1954, Benteli, Bullfinch, Arthaud, Thames & Hudson, Motta Editore

An introduction to the exhibition in German with Guido Magnaguagno, former director of the Musée Tinguely. He collaborated with Marco Bischof to write the first monograph on Werner Bischof in 1990 – Werner Bischof 1916-1954, Benteli, Bullfinch, Arthaud, Thames & Hudson, Motta Editore.
